West Southcross Boulevard near Interstate 35 South

SAPD motorcycle patrol are regulars in this location. Primarily between IH-35 South and Pleasanton Rd. They hide just out of view in the side streets and nab you as you drive along the very busy Southcross Blvd. Posted speed limit is 35 mph but the street can easily handle traffic at 45-50 mph.

Comments:
I know excacty where this "speed trap" USED to be, but it has been a long, long, time since I've seen any activity by the SAPD at this location. Speeding on this secton of Southcross Blvd (between Commercial Ave and Pleasanton Rd) is very commom throughout the day, but especially in the evenings and late night - regualr traffic, emergency vehicles, motorcycles, and large commercial vehicles, including eighteen wheelers. This street is used by hundreds (maybe thousands) of vehicles daily and it sure tears up the street. There are so many pot holes, that one of these days someone is going to have a serious accident.
