Westbound on Barney after climbing the hill at Douglas.

Kalamazoo, MichiganMar 31, 20101 Comments

After climbing the hill, the rest of the road, until you reach Nichols, is a gradual downhill slope and it is easy to coast and end up going 40mph in the 30mph zone. Police will usually be sitting on the north side of the street in alleyways, parking lots or even next to driveways. I have been caught once and still catch myself speeding inadvertently on this section, without even having my foot on the gas.

Comments:
This not necessarily a speed trap. A township police officer lives in the area, so there is a car parked there a lot, and he is in the area a lot of the time. If you happen to be speeding when he's around, then you will receive a ticket, but it's NOT a speed trap.
