Winchester and Roripaugh Road-Outback Steakhouse
They like to sit on the side of the Outback steakhouse, just under the signal waiting for people who are driving south/southwest on Winchester. As you pass Henry’s heading toward the 15 interstate, they are waiting for you on the right hand side. Always one-two motorcycle cops perched on the sidewalk.

The speed limit on Winchester Road between Nicolas Road and Roripaugh Road is illegally set at 45 mph. The speed and engineering survey speed data sheet identifies the 85th percentile speed as 52 mph when in fact it is 53 mph. This normally would result in a speed limit of 55 MPH for this section by CA vehicle code section 21400(b) allows the speed to be rounded down to 50 MPH. This section also prohibits further reduction for ANY reason. The city and the Police Department have been put on notice that this constitutes an illegal speed trap under California law. (4/30/2015)
