Cross Plains, Tennessee Speed Traps
Cross Plains police has two to three cars working during day light hours and usually stop cars around City Hall/High School area. Robertson County sheriffs sit all night at bbq across from highly wiggly. Set up camera and recorded RCSD stopped 15 cars within a 4 hour period. Cross Plains had wrote over 100 tickets April 2021 between the 3 cops. Beware.
Stop sign center of town. Only there to catch traveling people and out of state traffic that is not used to it.
The cops love to stop people here. This is a choke point for DUI checks. There is nowhere to go, the road dips down.
Between the Elementary School, and Hwy 25 E. it is common to find the police running Radar on this road if they are not on Hwy 25 e.
Cross Plains Has One Unmarked Police Car and One with out lights on it. The unmarked car which is the Captain or Chief of Police and is always writing a ticket. The Police do not opperate on a 24 hour basis. They work Monday thru Thursday from 8am to 10pm, Friday from 8am to Sat 4am. and sat and sunday from 2pm to 4am. I don’t see the officers writing tickets just the chief or captain. He writes everybody! The speed limit is 45mph. I hear they will write you at 10 over.
