North bound on Hwy 83/84 as you pass the rest area on the right, just over the crest of the hill (accross from the little mom and pop gas station). The officer will be sitting in the rest area behind trees/brush. You won’t see him until you are past him and it’s all over.

US Highway 277 near Mile Marker 316

Abilene, TexasDec 12, 20070 Comments

Radar trap is ~10-15 miles outside of Abilene beyond the town of Caps. Texas Highway Patrolman sits hidden off to one side constantly getting traffic coming down from high speed runs on the curvy section up in the bluffs and will hit you in the straight away cresting a slight hill. If he’s not spotting he’s at the local gas station a mile down the road killing time with locals swapping stories.
