Hwy 287 and Commerce Street ( downtown )
Officers sit under canopy at a gas station in the dark across the street on north side of courthouse, cannot tell a patrol car is sitting there until you are almost on top of the location.
Hwy 287 about 8 – 10 miles W of town
This is a broad divided hwy – two lanes each way with turn lanes and wide shoulders. don’t be tempted to speed. A least one deputy sheriff patrols in a white pickup with” instant on” radar.
Fines, payable to the Justice of the Peace, begin at $150.00 for 1 (one) mile over the speed limit.
State Highway 83 near US Highway 83 and US Highway 287
Officers set in the dark just off construction zone in one of 3 small parking lots with all lights off.
US Highway 287 near US Highway 287
These state troopers are out for blood. Every time I go there I get stopped for something diffrent. I wish I could be in their shoes to see if they sleep at night.
just out side town on either side
DPS squad car sits a couple miles outside of town and hides. As people accelerate as they leave town, the speed limit stays 55 and you expect it to be 70 by the time you hit the sign…your busted! They don’t give warnings in this part of the country!
