Dallas, Texas Speed Traps
Lovers Lane (University Park)
Police stand on Lovers Lane and point their lasers at cars heading west. The posted speed limit is 30 MPH but it is easy to go 35-40 MPH during this stretch without noticing. They are standing here at different times but almost every day.
Gaston Avenue
Motorcycle cop sometimes in a patrol car. Mostly midday with a radar gun looking device.
Lemmon Ave & Howell St
During workdays, especially in the morning, motorcycle cops lurk on the left hand side of this one way street just before the street curves to the left.
Regal Row
Both motorcycle cops and police cars stand on the side of the road as soon as you come off the bridge of E. Irving Blvd./E. Shady Grove Rd. The lane curves and as soon as you pass the curve, cops are standing there with their radar gun. Its now on both side of Regal Row.
Spring Valley Road & Hillcrest Road
As you turn right onto Spring Valley Rd., from Hillcrest Rd, just past the school, a motorcycle officer hides on a side street before the creek and stands just around the corner with his radar gun. The stretch of road there is long yet the speed limit is 35 mph, which most people find difficult to obey.
