Euless, Texas Speed Traps

Highway 121 in the North bound toward Grapevine. The Euless police will sit in the grass on the South side of the access Road between Cheek-Sparger and Glade Rd. Once you cross the Cheek-Sparger bridge on 121 on most mornings especially the weekends you will see the Euless police sitting in the grass, usually a slick top unit. You can’t see the police until your right there. By this time they’ve already clocked you! Euless loves your money, they need your money to pay for those lovely brand new Expeditions they drive around!

Euless main is posted as 35mph coming off of Hwy 183. I frequently see people pulled over by the Euless police for doing 45mph, which, given the excellent condition of the road, is not an unreasonable speed. They get their speeders north or south of the 183 intersection. It does not matter. What you don’t know that I do as a local, is that when the police station shifts changes (the station is just off of Ector and Hwy 183 and is a block from this intersection) and lets out after whatever briefing, these cops more often than not, start out their shift by nabbing someone when they are coming out of or towards the police station. In fact, I have been at the Jack in the Box there or the Sonic and have seen a steady stream of Euless police headed out for the days assignments along that intersection. I suspect that it is a great way to insure overtime on the way into work. And if they are coming out of work, they are thinking quota. Nevertheless, just take it easy and do 35mph or less. I can’t tell you how many times while keeping to 35mph I see a Euless cop pull in behind me on his way in or out of the Police Station.

The Police will sit in the front of Village Green Apartments and watch for people to roll through the stop sign at Village Green and Fuller Wiser. Speed limit is 35 and will stop you for 41 mph (Ive been stopped)

Extends north and south of 183, from Green Oaks to 121.
Even rolling stops at traffice lights off of the freeway.
$ 230 tickets !

There is a large grass median where the city’s traffic units (no top lightbar) like to sit and run traffic for northbound and southbound traffic on Hwy 360. It is usually in the evening hours after around 1900 hours.
