Frisco, Texas Speed Traps

As you drive East on College, before Hillcrest, the speed limit is 40. After crossing Hillcrest, the speed instantly goes to 35 – 2 motorcycle cops sit at the little side streets with radar. This site is used at most day time hours, even without school zone limits.

In the morning if you are making a LEFT from the feeder street off the tollway you will have a nice surprise in the middle of the medians…Officer Friendly…he is running radar attempting to tag preschool mom’s who are in a hurry to drop off children…

Saturday 1pm..2pm: White Chevy Tahoe relentlessly traversing the IKEA parking lot up and down. The main driveway at the IKEA storefront has 4 stop signs of elevated interest. Based on 1) time of the day, and 2) vehicle type used for making rounds, 3) time spent and 4) the large number of laps back and forth — it is obvious that many patrons will leave IKEA with more than the furniture of their choice. Occasionally the white SUV comes to rest at the highest spot of the parking lot, overlooking the entire parking lot and most of the cars entering or leaving. If you have lunch at the restaurant on the 2nd floor you can easily see what is going on.

Police hide on either side of the bridge over the railroad tracks waiting to issue citations to motorists who may be going the speed limit but whose speed increases due to gravity as motorists descend the steep hill. It’s ridiculous that you need at accelarate to maintain 40 up the hill and ride your brakes going down the other side of the steep hill to avoid any increase in speed as the police ferociously patrol this area of opportunity.

Police are hiding in the old Long John Silvers/A&W parking lot across Preston from Burger King. They are behind the sign and they are running this at the same time they are running the Pinks Western Wear Sting.
