Galveston, Texas Speed Traps
Motorcycle cops and/or cruisers sit in the median or the parking area where Seawall slopes to FM 3005, waiting for unsuspecting West Enders.
There were 5 motorcycle Officers and their cycles hiding behind huge bushes then as the vehicles approached closer to the bushes they would come out into the street so that you could see them and they had the laser pointing toward you. They were stopping like 3-4 cars at one time.
Motorcycle police hide in side streets waiting for hard working doctors and nurses rushing to work for a good reason. Life and death folks. The University of Texas Medical Branch hospital. Shame on you police you probably caused a death. Easy ticket lazy police.
Motorcycle Police hide behind shrubs and weeds on 301 University Boulevard in Galveston Texas. In the Pi Theta or some such closed down sorority house driveway. Shame on you. Easy ticket for us hard working doctors and nurses and sick or grieving visitors and patients. Get that ticket somewhere else. Oh and it should not be a darned school zone. Like I said easy ticket for lazy police.
About once a month, police will sit at the north end of the Seawolf parkway drawbridge and get people coming over the bridge on to Pelican Island. Speed limit there is (a ridiculously low) 35 mph. They also check the tags of people who do slow down in time. Some of their favorite days to do this are at the beginning and end of the college semester when large numbers of students cross the bridge. They’ll pull people over as fast as they can write the tickets until they get their quota.
