Easy ticket for us hard working doctors and nurses and sick or grieving visitors and patients. Get that ticket somewhere else. Oh and it should not be a darned school zone. Like I said easy ticket for lazy police.

Seawolf Parkway near Texas Clipper Road

Galveston, TexasOct 04, 20070 Comments

About once a month, police will sit at the north end of the Seawolf parkway drawbridge and get people coming over the bridge on to Pelican Island. Speed limit there is (a ridiculously low) 35 mph. They also check the tags of people who do slow down in time. Some of their favorite days to do this are at the beginning and end of the college semester when large numbers of students cross the bridge. They’ll pull people over as fast as they can write the tickets until they get their quota.
