Along US 281 going south leaving Johnson City
Stopped for 60 MPH in 50 zone. Hwy is four lanes. Speeded up leaving city knowing road was 70 MPH immediately ahead. Set cruise on 70. Mile or so down road in 70 zone see cop behind flasing lights. He was not seen anywhere along road in town. Claimed doing 60 in 50 zone. Had ticket prepared when he came to car. Really can’t believe I was speeding. Very little traffic present on clear, sunny day 2:30 P.M. Believe looking for city funds and I was his patsy.
