I – 10

Junction, TexasSep 06, 20121 Comments

Sheriff pulled me over for going 82 in an 80. It was an unmarked reduced speed for a construction zone of 65. The sign we saw said reduce speed ahead but never posted the beginning of a construction zone. He ticketed me and then had the nerve to thank me for my service because I am active duty. A solution is to not stop in Kimble County and do not support any local businesses until the reputation of this crooked municipal government changes.

I-10 Kimble County

Junction, TexasFeb 19, 20111 Comments

Anywhere in Kimble county from the Sutton county line to Kerr county line. This is a major revenue stream for this county, as per a well connected friend that lives there. Particularly bad from 5 miles west of Junction to Hwy 290 interchange. Sheriffs Dept. will pull you over and ticket you for traveling well in excess of what you were actually traveling(my case 84 MPH when I was actually traveling 66 MPH)
Secondly, they love to do consensual searches particularly on people of color. Me and most of my other truck driver friends have noticed this. If they find any contraband your vehicle will be impounded. This is another great revenue stream for the Sheriffs Dept.
Good news, if your local they don’t bother them much.

I-10 West side of Junction

Anywhere between Mile Marker 450 and exit 456 (west side of Junction). County sheriff sits in plain looking solid black or solid white new SUV’s. Can’t see the Sheriff stickers unless you’re right even with them. Day or night. East or West bound.

Interstate I-10 near Exit Number 456

High Enforcement known in the area as a speed trap by the residents even for being over the limit by as LITTLE as 2 MPH. Troopers usually ticket the last car in a row always inflating the speed the driver was traveling at. Example I was on speed control at 68 in a 65mph zone I was stopped told I was doing 84 mph , a $200 fine. Locals said that is the form of revenue making for Junction. The same applies to the area on 1 – 10 approaching Kerrrsvile, Texas, speed limit changes back and forth. The signs are so small they are easily missed by a motorist. This information was given to me by residents of both Junction and Kerrsville Texas
