Whitley Road near Between Wall-Price and Bear Creek Road

Keller, TexasJul 17, 20081 Comments

Whitley Road from Wall-Price to Bear Creek Parkway heading north you go down a hill. You will find radar on both sides of the road behind trees, walls, etc. Speed Limit is 30 MPH and I have lived here for over 2 years and have seen as many as 5 cars pulled over every day. They hide in the nursing home parking lot and in West Park Subdivision to catch speeders going north and south.

Dove Road Street near Pearson/ Hwy 114 Street

Dove Road between Pearson and Hwy 114 especially behind Vaquero. Keller Police are paid by the City of Westlake,Tx to enforce this section of road which is set at 30 mph. They patrol this with cars and motorcycles heavily and have gotten quite creative by hiding up in the entrances of Vaquero and Glenwyck Farms. They will hit you with both moving radar as this was what was written on my wife’s citation and they have set off my detector numerous times with both Laser and Ka band. If you travel this road make sure that you set your cruise control to 29 mph if you are able. They use the excuse of safety complaints from the HOA (Homeowners Assoc.)of both Vaquero and Glenwyck Farms as the reason for them to cite speeders. I know this to be untrue as I am President of Vaquero HOA. The fine for speeding even if you are only doing 31 mph is $97.00 + $5 for each mile over the limit.

Main Street near FM 1709

Coming from Watauga north bound the speed Limit is 45 mph.Right before the pawn shop the rate of speed sign changes to 25 mph. this is a classic example of a SPEED TRAP.I work in code enforcement at the airport. You can fight this in court. When you come into a town or business or residential area the speed limit should break down by 10 mph or even 5 mph. How the city of Keller got it approved is beyond me. Main street is a state hwy. The law states the speed limit cant drop like that due to possible causing accidents.Look it up if you dont believe me.
