Mckinney, Texas Speed Traps
So.bound Service Road near US Highway 75
Southbound Service Road between Virginia Pkwy and Valley Creek Road, just after Tomes Ford dealer. Police hiding behind telephone pole shooting radar up the street before being seen. Several cars were already pulled over when I was.
Eldorado Parkway near Driveway to Malvern Elementary
Both cruiser and motorcycle officers regularly sit in the Malvern Elementary parent dropoff entrance and left turn lane on Eldorado Pkwy, east of US75, radaring westbound traffic coming from Hwy 5. There is a long straight bridge and hill that the officers can radar/laser an individual and people from a long distance, and people are pulled over anytime day or night, but most frequently during lunchtime by a motorcycle officer.
Eldorado Parkway near US Highway 75
Eldorado Pkwy over the Central Expwy bridge motorcycle officers sit in the center divider and radar/laser traffic westbound on Eldorado at the peak of the bridge during morning rush hour.
US Highway 380
Going Eastbound on U.S. 380 many people don’t realize McKinney City Limits starts just before the intersection of F.M. 2478. They have their city limits sign on the opposite side of the road. Why it is sitting in Prosper is beyond me. McKinney has always been known to be very greedy with it’s annex plans. North,South,East,West, etc. Anyway watch out.
Eldorado Parkway near State Highway 5
On Eldorado Parkway, east of the 75, past the bridge, you will be coming up on Highway 5. On the trees on the left there usually hides a motorcycle cop with a radar gun behind the trees. Watch out.
