Seguin, Texas Speed Traps

Slow down when nearing mile marker 613 near Seguin. Before reaching Seguin traveling West bound (towards San Antonio), you will see truck weigh stations on either side of the freeway. The police sit there and catch speeders b/w the two stations. One time I saw 6 cops! My V1 detected K and Ka bands.

The dps car was parked in the median targeting west bound cars as they came over the highway 46 overpass. The lazer was undetected by my Valentine 1 until it was too late. The ticket was for under 10 mph over the speed limit.

City police sit at Texaco after hours and once its dark and shoot radar at oncoming traffic. All lights from car are off and area is very dark.

DPS; Gonzales County, Guadalupe County, and Caldwell County Sheriffs run this area routinely, anytime. Tolerance seems to be 7 over (but no guarantees on that). Top spots are Seguin city limits eastward to rest area/weigh station and then Luling/Hwy 80 to Hwy 304/Bastrop Exit. K & Ka-bands. Contrary to ads instant-on Ka-band detection is mediocre even with top-quality detectors like Valentine (steady Ka and instant-on and steady K is easily detectable, though)
