American Fork, Utah Speed Traps
American Fork police park in the construction storage area just before the south I-15 onramp, speed limit is 45. This is the same area that use to be 35mph ( from 50mph on Pioneer Crossing ), a few years ago an American Fork city official was written up for speeding and he petitioned to raise the limit citing the police were using it as a speed trap. AF cops are at it again. Mostly see people pulled over on the south bound onramp in the morning.
Speed limit is 30 mph and this section of road in front of the apartments is HEAVILY patrolled. Be Careful!
This is a deadly speed trap as you are heading south on 7200 West you go down into a ravine and then up to the intersection of 10400 North and 1200 East. The speed limit is 35 mph as you head down into the ravine. The moment that you get to the top of the south side of the ravine, the street changes into 1200 East and the speed limit drops from 35 mph to 25 mph. It is difficult to quickly drop speed from 35 mph to 25 mph as you get to the top of the south bank of the ravine. Actually all of 1200 East from SR-92 to State street is a 25 mph speed trap.
Look out for undercover dark blue Mustang. Usually on the Alpine Highway but tends to drift all over AF.
They wait at the bottom of the hill on the south side of the street. It is not easy to stay at 25 mph going down the hill from the temple but you better try.
