State Route 2 near Sandbar State Park Entrance
Cops sit in the entrance to Sandbar State Park at night where the speed limit drops down to 45 MPH for a few hundred yards. The normal flow of traffic on this route is close to 50-55 MPH.
89 southbound, 2miles before the milton/islands exit
sheriff was parked down by the treeline off of 89. it was a long stretch of a straight road, almost right after the bridge over the lamoile river.
the sheriff was actually about 40 feet away from his car, totally obscured by the treeline. it used to be that the staties/sheriffs were always in the u-turn lanes, but lately they have been getting clever by parking down the hills off of 89. the milton exit was less than a mile from where he motioned for me to pull over. wonder if he would have made it to his car by the time i hit the exit if i went for the islands….
