Sterling, Virginia Speed Traps

Going towards route 7, cop on a bike hides behind a bush and jumps out at you to stop you. Don’t speed on blvd at all

coming from Route 7 down Sterling Boulevard…down the hill just before the light to Church Road…cops sometimes sit right in the intersection before the light and you can’t see them until after you’ve gone over the hill and then it’s too late.

I have only seen this Westbound. In addition to School Zone, officers will set up camp in the parking lot of the apartment complex on the rt. hand side of the road, just east of the bike trail. I have seen them walking into the road and waving traffic over into the parking lot. It is also just before the speed limit goes up to 40 from 35.

This area is patrolled on a regular basis. Speeds at or about 13 miles per hour over the speed limit are in advisible.
