Great Neck Rd

Virginia Beach, VirginiaSep 02, 20030 Comments

Motocycles and Unmarked cruiser sit in middle left turn lanes. Run radar in both directions. IMO, rather unsare, considering at 11 pm you have a cruiser sitting in middle of road with no running lights on.

500 Block of Rosemont Road

Virginia Beach, VirginiaJul 25, 20031 Comments

I was given 2 tickets in less than 1 month at this Cops like to camp and wait for prey at this unrealistic 35 MPH site (marked car & motorcycle) – most people drive 50+ because it’s a fairly major thoroughfare/road. One time I was stopped by a motorcycle cop. Be careful on Rosemont Rd!!

Dam Neck Rd & Taneva Ct

Virginia Beach, VirginiaJul 02, 20030 Comments

Officer sits at the end of Taneva Rd at 90 degree angle to oncoming eastbound Dam Neck traffic. Uses radar gun.

General Booth Blvd, Marine Science Museum – Rudee Inlet

Virginia Beach, VirginiaJun 03, 20030 Comments

The show of force is most common in the summer. Cruisers are usually waiting on one of the side streets leading up to the Rudee Inlet Bridge. Motorcycles are also used.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel

Virginia Beach, VirginiaAug 01, 20020 Comments

Bridge Tunnel Police hang out at the exits to the two channel tunnels (Chesapeake and Thimble Shoals Channels) and get you from behind/above just as you come out of the tunnels. Typiccaly they wait at the southbound exit of the Thimble Shoals Tunnel and pull you over at the southern Toll Plaza.
