State Highway 2/97 near School Street

The speed limit is drastically reduced from 60 MPH to 45 MPH several miles (3) from the city limits. As the traffic is coming off a rural 4-lane highway, the signage is inadequate to warn tourist/commercial traffic of the speed reduction. I have witnessed as many as three (3) WSP and Chelan County vehicles issuing tickets at one time. (Wenatchee – Chelan County)

Motorists beware! The WSP like to hide in the shadows and catch speeders entering Wenatchee just south of the stoplight to turn onto 3RD street heading towards costco mainly at night where the speed limit changes from 60 to 40 MPH. They like to catch people going north into Wenatchee. You can’t see them due to the corner.

Entering Wenatchee eastbound. Posted speed drops from 60mph to 45mph. Signs are confusing. WSP uses unmarked vehicles and AircraFort

Helicopter tagged me. Look for the arrows on the side of the freeway and slow down! High rocks on both sides of the freeway hid the patrol cars around the corner so there was just no warning at all. Radar was not being used. They also made a note of the fact that I had a radar detector in the car, saying "the judge likes to know these things" which I thought was some major BS. Apparently the Wenatchee judge’s son is on the highway patrol, so fighting tickets out here is pretty iffy at best, according to Jeannie Mucklestone.

Along the whole highway from Wenatchee to Leavenworth. There’s really no place for a cop to hide along this stretch of road, so they use disguised vehicles instead. usually an SUV that you can’t tell is a cop AT ALL until the lights come on. They’re also big on enforcing the "traffic must keep right except to pass" rule, which is posted. The speed limit is 60 mph…tourists beware.
