Hurricane, West Virginia Speed Traps

Rt 34 in front of Hurricane Middle School. Not the school limit, just the regular posted speed is only 30mph on a road that should be 40 or 45mph. Hurricane City officer will park on the berm or in the school parking lot. Next to no leeway for over posted speed.

Two cars will sit with lights out, one facing East bound, the other facing West bound. They will ticket anyone in excess of 5mph (70 is limit). Usually between 10pm and 2am.
