Waukesha, Wisconsin Speed Traps
Silvernail Road near University Avenue
About half a mile east of University and Silvernail, they sit either by the Red Cross or the shopping Center near Culver’s. The zone is 25 mph and it used to be 35. It’s way to slow for that area and goes downhill headed west. The city writes lots of tickets as people go home on Silvernail headed west. Silvernail is a frontage road that runs next to I-94.
Silvernail west of Grandview
A squad will park in one of the business parking lots at the far west end of the straight-away by the hill. The police really like getting the vehicles that rush to pass everyone by using the right-turn-only lane after the traffic signal by the stripmall. The speed limit is 25MPH, which is only reasonable because of the high level of traffic during the day. 35-40MPH feels comfortable.
