Aledo/Iona Road   Aledo, Texas

Posted speed limit of 40 is low for the character of the road. A DPS trooper parks in a draw, stands outside his automobile with a radar gun and clocks vehicle speeds just as drivers are accelerating in anticipation of the higher posted speed limit of 45. It's like shooting fish in a barrel.

Farm-to-Market Road 1187 S & Maverick St   Aledo, Texas

TXDOT decided to put up some 40 MPH signs a few weeks back, ignoring the fact that the average traffic flow is closer to 60 in this rural area. Now the DPS is camping out there every morning and pulling people over for as little as 5 MPH over the limit. Complete waste of time and resources.
