inside city limits on hwy 87   Dumas, Texas

watch the speed zone signs, 40 mph is posted and then a second sign says 35 but the second sign is not easily seen. Sheriff sits right after the 35 mph just about 1 block from the city hall. He will get you everytime.

4 miles South of Dumas on Highway 87   Dumas, Texas

TDPS officers sit within the median of this divided 4 lane highway over hills where you don't see them until the hill is crested. Usually two officers per car to back up testimony as they will inflate speed. Posted speed is 70 mph with traffic running 75-78mph. Out of state drivers are nailed routinely as no license plate on front identifies them. Minimum fine is $100.
