Creek Road Eastbound   Ojai, California

After the winding road eastbound enters the straightaway there is a sign that says do not pass. Just after the sign there are several trees on the right side of the road and the CHP park between them. It is impossible to see them until it's too late.

State Highway 150 near Santa Ana Road   Ojai, California

While driving e/b on route 150 there are only 2 passing areas. The second area [near Santa Ana Rd], is a straight road with good visibility. The CHP probably knows that this is a section where most will attempt passing. There are no posted speed limit signs so they issue tickets based on section 22349. This code states the limit is 55 max. on un-divided 2-lane highways. They have radar setup to catch drivers as they clear a right-hand curve into this open section. The unit is positioned out-of-view until the driver is fairly close. Even a momentary increase in speed will guarantee a citation. The unit pulled over another un-suspecting driver before I left the area...
