Walnut Creek Road and Stagecoach Road   Stagecoach, Texas

Every driver in my family has had tickets on each of these roads and it does not matter whether or not you are in violation of a traffic law. It matters what day of the month it is, what time of day it is, and whether or not the current officer on patrol is actively writing a ticket and the laws of physics prevent him from being in two places at one time. If you try to fight a ticket you have to pay $100 court cost and $55 "processing" fee up front and if you don't win (which you won't) you have to then fork over the original amount of the ticket anyway. Therefore it is presented as the most reasonable option to just pay up with the cashier. They take, cash, credit cards and debit cards...as do most commercial industries. When my son was stopped two weeks after receiving his drivers license - with his mother in the car and definitely not speeding - I decided to try to fight this one as the officer said he had "visually assessed" a speed of 40mph in the 1.8 mile 35mph zone; I attempted to fight it and came up against all of the above; just as I had heard. The room was filled with people lined up to pay. I asked the attorney on hand if the officers ever gave warnings and how I could access the ticket stats on our particular officer...he looked at me like I was from another planet and said, "Lady we don't have that kind of stuff...this is a converted barn with three staff and one computer. The cashier will assist you further." Best advice I can give....take another route.

Stagecoach Road near City Limits   Stagecoach, Texas

I live just outside of the city limits of this small community. I see tickets given out every day for this 35 mph limit, (reduces from 45 at the city limits).

Butera Road near FM 249   Stagecoach, Texas

What concerns me is that in order to pull over someone going 40 in a 35 the police officers will whip around going double fast, passing others, almost making them land in the ditch, just to pull over someone going 5 miles over the limit.

In fact, one day when I passed by this little park that they sit in, I came to a complete stop and then moved on and accelerated to the posted limit of 35 mph. I even thought to myself that the little speed trap of Stagecoach was not going to get me because I knew the police officer was there, I looked right over at him. Before I knew it, the officer pulled out and pulled me over. I thought, this is crazy because I was doing everything by the book. I straight up asked him if something was wrong with my car, because there was no other reason for him to pull me over. He said that I accelerated when I saw him......(ummmmmmm, yea.....I went from stop to 35 mph.....and how dumb if I would have seen him and then speeded past.....) Then he said he clocked me at 55! CRAZY! I laughed. There was no way. I know it is a speed trap. I saw him. I triple checked the limit of 35 because again I knew it was a speed trap! I told him there was no way. He went back to his car, waited a while and came back and said get your speed ometer checked and let me go.

Stagecoach Road near Walnut Creek Road   Stagecoach, Texas

Main road that passes through stagecoach. There 3 cops in this area that travel up and down this road all day long and write tickets. The speed limit is 35 on this main throughfare. I recieved a ticket for going 40 mph.
