Interstate 91 Exits 3-4   Dummerston, Vermont

Always, always a police cruiser waiting to nab you (north or south) between these two exits. The whole area is a very popular trap.

Interstate 91 near Mile Marker 16   Dummerston, Vermont

About 2-3 miles after Exit 3, and about 2 miles before Exit 4, beware a downhill right-hand curve, very gentle, definitely allows an unintentional speed increase. They'll be waiting at the bottom, in the breakdown lane, under some overhanging trees for cover, shooting the radar through the rear window. Dark green Chevy Impala. Best to keep it in the right-hand lane, don't make a passing move here. And beware Anything in the breakdown lane. Unsafe if you ask me. And don't expect a break. 80 in a 65.

Interstate 91 near Exit Number Between 4 and 3, Southbound lane   Dummerston, Vermont

There is highway construction on the southbound lane just south of Exit 4 (Putney). While officers are frequently there with their car lights flashing as a warning, recently they have been checking speed with radar and giving out tickets. Fines are double the usual fines. The speed limit has been temporarily reduced to 55. It's a tough place to slow down quickly and the traffic moves along quickly, usually over 55. I don't think this is an unfair speed trap, but be warned that they are ticketing.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
