1 Motorcycle officer parked in the driveway to Studio Village Condos with a radar gun. Hard to see until it's too late.

Carpenter Avenue near Laurelwood Drive Studio City, California

This is a heavily travelled cut-through to avoid the intersection of Ventura Blvd. and Lauren Canyon Blvd. There is a three-way stop by Carpenter Ave. Elementary school. Drivers who do not stop, or roll through the stop signs, are routinely ticketed by motorcycle officers who are posted on a regular basis. Local residents actively request LAPD officers to monitor this area. Be sure to stop completely and yield right-of-way for all three stop signs or you will be ticketed.

Laurel Cyn Boulevard near Muholland Drive Studio City, California

Heading North up and over Laurel Canyon into Hollywood. At the top of LAurel Cyn Bl there is a right ONLY lane and one lane going straight over. The traffic backs up for cars going over so many cars go up the right turn only lane and cut over going thru the intersection. If you do this in the morning ruch you probably will encounter a Police officer that will wave you over to the line of cars that they are in the process of ticketing. I have seen as many as 5 cars off to the right getting ticketed. This is NOT a cheap ticket. THe cops are off their biles so you cannot see them until its WAY Too late. Better to turn right and make a u down the road. But they are on to that also ....

Laurel Terrace Drive near Maxwellton Avenue Studio City, California

Laurel Terrace Drive between LAurel Cyn Bl and Whitsett Ave. This is a cut thru to avoid traffic in Ventura Bl .. There are 2 to 4 motorcycle cops sitting on various side streets usually hiding behind trash cans or parked cars. If you roll a stop you will get a ticket. Peroid. Stop and count to 3. THios is an affluent and vocal neighborhood trying to reduce traffic thru speed bumps ( yes there are those too ) and strict stop sign enforcement. Better to avoid the area as there are 7 stop signs from one end to the other.

Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Dona Lola Drive Studio City, California

Police often wait around bend on southbound Laurel Canyon Blvd. just past signal at Dona Lola & Dona Pegita Drives. Once you have rounded the bend, it's too late. Northbound Laurel Canyon can also be a trap as motorcycle officers will sit in driveways pointing radar at vehicles rounding the downhill bends south of Mullholland Drive.Be sure you are doing no more than 38mph! (It's a 35 zone, but folks will often push 50+ there)
