Brandon, Mississippi Speed Traps
Old Brandon road east of Jackson airport
Police hide on side streets and business parking lots.
Spillway Road
Heading from Ridgeland (over the Spillway), into Brandon (Reservoir area), the speed limit changes abruptly from 55 to 45 MPH. The officers are taking full advantage of parking in the boat ramp parking lot, where the speed zone is still 55 MPH and "pacing" cars into the 45 MPH speed zone, then pullling them over in the old Rapids parking lot and issuing a citation.
Hwy 468 at National Guard Armory
Speed limit is only 35! Cops sit in Nat’l Guard Armory parking lot and lie in wait–especially at night. If you are traveling east, you can’t see them until it’s too late because of the hill of the cemetery. If you’re driving west, you can’t see them until you’ve come into the clearing, and by then it’s too late. Set your cruise control to 35! Trust me!
Between Hwy 18 & City Limit sign on Star-Brandon RD.
Police like to sit in numerous driveways with radar. Catch you coming around curve or top of hill.
At Pelahatchie/Brandon Exit on I-20
Brandon and Pelahatchie police sit at on and off ramps catching interstate speeders
