The Mountain Brook Dept constantly sits in hidden side roads,driveways, entrances to subdivisions, etc all along the stretch of Monteclair Road from within the Mountain Brook City Limit signs.

Interstate 20/59 Birmingham, Alabama

I20 East near first Leeds exit on past last Pell City exit; Jefferson County Sheriff/ST. Clair County Sheriff/Hoover/Birmingham/Pell City locals/State Trooper/ ALL on this roughly 20-odd mile stretch of interstate.

Part of some on-going traffic blitz with units from different departments. I've seen more tickets given out through here than you'd see hot dogs at a baseball game.
Units are seen in the median, by entrance/exit ramps, on roadside, even parked on bridges. There is some road construction through this area; they frequent the construction zones.
Be careful driving through this stretch of interstate; they are going way out of their way looking for any reason to write tickets.

Interstate 459 near Liberty Park Birmingham, Alabama

Troopers are seen regularly on I-459 under the bridge that is located right before the Trussville Hwy 11 off-ramp and right before I-459 ends at I-59. This is the same exit you take to go to the Penacle Mall. Usually seen more in the AM or PM rush hour traffic but can be there anytime. State troopers work this area with two to six...Yes Six...units at a time on a frequent basis...They hide on the ramps and catch the speeders like flys.

Lakeshore Drive near Samford University Birmingham, Alabama

This stretch of road is completely flat (like a drag strip) with excellent visability. However, because of the close proximity of a high school, a college, and a retirement community, the posted speed limit is 40 mph. It is extremely easy to go in the 55-60 mph range if you are not watching your speed. The only time I have seen a trooper on this road was at dusk (how clever) one day. Ironically, this road is not as heavily patrolled as you would think, but the posted speed limit is definitely easy to overpass. Be careful when it first starts to get dark, as the cops like to hide in the center grass median.
