Northfield, Illinois Speed Traps
willow and Linder
Police stop cars getting off eastbound I-94 who make a u-turn on Willow to go west. Be careful especially late at night.
Willow and Central
Police wait for patrons leaving restaurants and taverns. They will stop you for the slightest infraction.
Happ Road and Old Willow Road
Patrol cars wait in the parking lot of St. Philip the Apostle Church, at 1962 Old Willow Road, Northfield, Illinois. It appears that a lot of tickets are issued for not coming to a full stop at the three-way intersection.
Willow Road near Interstate 94
This is a major East/West road which is constantly patrolled and the speed traps move along the approximately 2.5 mile stretch that passes through this town.
Happ Road Street near Jewish Temple
The police like to park way back in the parking lot of the Temple behind the bushes at the furthest North entrance. They are very well shielded. If you head South on Happ (with the Temple to your left), they zap you from behind before you ever know it, they also have a long view down Happ Rd, so that they can radar traffic coming around the bend in the road. The limit there is 30mph but its very easy to go 40 or more.
