Motorcyle officers sit on the north side of Northen Ave in a church driveway waiting for speeders. The posted speed limit is 40 and they will pull you over for going 45 or more in the area.

Northern Avenue near 83rd Avenue
Look out between 75th Avenue and 111th Avenue. Because of two fatal collisions within 1/2 mile of each other in the last three weeks, Peoria PD is really clamping down on people driving at excessive speed. Watch out for the moving radar on the motorcycles and the unmarked cars.

83rd Avenue near Union Hills Road
In addition of heavy enforcement on 83rd Avenue between Beardsley and Union Hills, they have installed red light cameras on southbound 83rd Avenue at Union Hills. A recent TV news story about the 30 day warning period remarked that the red light camera operator Redflex relized they had more red light violations at that intersection during the warning period than any other location in the entire United States.
