Vancouver, British Columbia Speed Traps
West King Edward (east bound) before hitting Arbutus
he’s hiding in a bush on ur right side if you head eastbound right before you hit arbutus!
Hwy 1 Eastbound Just past Lonsdale overpass
Driving east on Highway 1 you go up a slight hill as you go under the Westview overpass then the road levels off and dips to go under the Lonsdale overpass. The lonsdale overpass blocks your view of the RCMP stationed on the left side of the road with the laser tripod. Traffic is usually going faster than the posted 80 KPH in this area.
the whole thing
driving on the island all you need to do is keep your eyes open and you will see every trap miles away as they don’t hide. I drive up and down the island 3 times a week and the only time i’ve really seen a cop hide was around parksville where they hide behind the pillars of the overpass, otherwise they are in plain sight. Look past the end of your hood and you will see them!
S.W. Marine Drive & Cambie
Going southbound towards Arthur Lang Bridge. Watch out for cops running out with no protective vest and only a flashlight trying to pull you over. They set up on a side street right before you hit Cambie Street. Lots of people get caught there. Almost ran over the cop too…
Granville St. Bridge-Northbound
Vancouver PD hide behind the barriers indicating the split between Granville and Seymour Streets. As the bridge has an arced shape, they get you as soon as you crest the top. Speed tax collection officers are stationed further down the block. This same trick gets used southbound in the afternoon rush.
