Anaheim Hills, California Speed Traps
On Serrano Rd in Anaheim Hills
It is my understanding that on Serrano Rd just as you are reaching the flat top of the long steep hill climbing up to Anaheim Hills (just a bit before you reach Anaheim Hills Elementary) from the city of Orange there is a light that flashes bright at you once quickly ( apparently at night it is blinding and hurtful to the left eye). I have no idea if there is a camera taking a picture but it is thought that, that is certainly a possibility. The speed limit is 40 there and I have heard of it flashing at people who are going 41 miles an hour. It is very new and I have no idea if tickets come in the mail or what is going on. Stay exactly at 40 miles an hour on Serrano from start to finish, unless the schools are in session then the limit is 25 miles an hour beware!
Royal Oak approaching Santa Ana Canyon Rd.
Motorcycle cop hides on one of the side streets as you go down the steep hill with a 35 MPH speed limit. Ride the brakes all the way down.
Imperial Hwy s/o Nohl Ranch Road- east side
Very steep downhill. Speed limit goes from 50mph to 35mph. Shifting to low gear and braking, it is impossible to go 35mph. The motor is sitting on the sidewalk on the east side just before the intersection. I have been lucky to not get caught because other cars are going faster.
E. Serrano Ave. and S. Hidden Canyon Rd.
West on Serrano towards Nohl Ranch Rd you may find a motorcycle cop at S. Hidden Canyon Rd. on you left. He is situated at the bottom of the hill you just drove down, behind foliage, usually between 5pm – 6pm. You may also want to check E. Rutgers Dr., the next street on the right.
I have also spotted them at night when the teenager’s hot rod through the area, but a sharp eye will catch the reflection of the red light on his bike as well as his silhouette from your headlights.
State Highway Imperial near Kellogg Street
Brea Police sit on both sides of the highway. When traveling from Yorba Linda Bl to La Palma you will find them sitting in on the highway turnoffs after passing Kellogg St. When traveling from La Palma to Yorba Linda Bl., they are found sitting on the right hand side on a highway turnoff after the last curve.
