Alley before Burton Way / Robertson Blvd heading north

Beverly Hills, CaliforniaMar 29, 20100 Comments

There’s a motorcycle cop in the alleyway on the west side of the street immediately before burton way. They get people who cross the yellow line to make it to the left hand turn lane. NEVER cross the yellow early. I was busted with another guy doing this.

N Beverly Dr & Lake Franklin Dr

Beverly Hills, CaliforniaJan 12, 20090 Comments

The Beverly Hills Police use laser claiming that the street is exempt from speed survey requirements because it is on the federal aid map as a local road. The residential speed is 25 MPH. If you stay under 40 MPH, you are okay. They use radar to nail people driving into Beverly Hills. The motorcycle officer, loves that street.

Doheny Drive near Olympic Boulevard

Beverly Hills, CaliforniaOct 08, 20080 Comments

There is always a motorcycle cop at the first or second street on the North side off Olympic when turning from Doheny, right at the light, and going West on Olympic. The officer catches people turning and speeding West on Olympic, and also, where I got busted, when coming back down Olympic and turning into the turn lane, going East on Olympic, to do North on Doheny Drive. I got stopped, not for speed, but because I entered the backed up left hand turn lane, because you want to make the arrow, and there are very few in Southern CA, and I had just with five other cars cut into a solid yellow line to get to the light. He pulled over several cars. There is ALWAYS someone there, at least from 2006-present.

Sunset Boulevard near Beverly Glen

Come around turn where no cars can turn onto street and hidden motorcycle trap is waiting. Speed limit is posted way down the street when you reach the city at 25 miles per hour. Any other city it would be 45 mph.

N. Canon Drive near Lomitas Avenue

Beverly Hills, CaliforniaMay 26, 20070 Comments

On N. Canon, between Lomitas and Elevado…southeast of Sunset Boulevard. As you pass through the 5-way intersection, 2 motorcycle BHPD officers sit on the left side of the road in one of the numerous private driveways. Posted speed limit is 25mph and they are pretty picky on the speed. I would recommend nothing over 30mph.
