The wide open desert lulls you into a false sense of security. Upon approaching the border, the CHP has an excellent "trap". Blacked out on the side of the interstate around any curve in the road with rear facing radar. Absolutely no time to react. Slow down when approaching the Arizona border. Highway Patrol is all over that area!

Anywhere on Hobsonway
Be careful on Hobsonway! It is one of the main drags through town. Usually the traffic lights keep things pretty slowed down, but if you tend to have a heavy foot, look out.

Interstate 10, approx. 2 miles West of town to Dessert Center
The new California Highway Patrol "Cammaro". Very hard to see. They sit in plain site on side of road. You do not know it is them until you are on them!
