Buena Vista Street between Victory and the 101 FWY

Burbank, CaliforniaAug 17, 20121 Comments

Every morning I see motorcycle cops on this street. Last week I saw 3 cops ticketing 3 different cars all within a few blocks. I was stopped in this stretch at dusk for a broken headlight. Cops love Hollywood Way and Buena Vista Street.

Police on motorcylces are hiding in the private parking lots on Buena Vista behind the Walgreens. Now they just moved over to a private driveway just east of Buena Vista on Magnolia. There usually is one but today is Saturday and there are two. They don’t have any speed guns. Be careful.

A major thru-way. 2 lanes each direction. no sidewalk nor businesses. the road is poorly posted at 45 should be 55. major cop location is at the blind curve just east of the forest lawn driveway. many many tickets are given as the normal impulse is to go 55+ mph.

Around 6:30-8pm, a cop waits for traffic school drivers with suspended licenses to get out of class, get into their cars and ticket them for driving w/o a license. While they’re there, they’re also on the lookout for speeders.

Rookie cops began doing this around the beginning of April 2011.

2pm on a Fri afternoon, I see a motocop pulling out of the 76 gas station on the NE corner of this intersection. He pulled over one of the cars that had just turned right off the 134 westbound on the freeway bridge.
