Crescent City, California Speed Traps
Highway 101 south of Crescent City
Northbound 101 approaching Crescent City, coming off the downhill from the "curvy" part. CHP park in the "shade" of large trees on the southbound side and catch drivers "freewheeling" off the downhill. Sometimes they will drive further south and park on the southbound side on the last wide spot on the downhill.

CHP will occasionally target this area and write tickets for anything and everything, including tinted windows and no seat belts, plus speeding. The speed limit is 50 mph, but feels like it should be 55.
