Folsom, California Speed Traps
A Folsom City motorcycle policeman frequently parks adjacent to the cattle loading chute on what appears to be private property at the intersection of White Rock Rd and Scott Rd in Sacramento County . He is physically ( approximately) 200 yards outside ( south) the Folsom City limits and uses a radar gun to catch speeders traveling from Folsom on Scott rd . By setting up his radar equipment outside his jurisdiction isn’t it an illegal speed trap?
Coming up to the intersection of Auburn Folsom and Madison, heading south, CHP and Folsom PD motorcycle officers like to hide in the bushes of the 76 station and watch for speeders or anyone running the light. Heading South, you will not see them until you have passed by the officer. This is apparently a ticket rich location.
Motorcycle Cop hides on side streets off Grover.
Since it is the street leading to Folsom High School they are watching for those
of us that like California stops!
Almost DAILY– CHP – both motorcycles and patrol cars hiding under the Scott Rd overpass and along Westbound Hwy 50 on Right shoulder AND in center divide (median)[close to Folsom Blvd 1 mile sign) and Eastbound Hwy 50 along the shoulder about 1 mile past Folsom Blvd exit and along the Hwy to Scott Rd. Occasionally on the on ramp to Eastbound Hwy 50 on Prarie City Rd and just over the hill past Scott Rd.
Heading east or west on Highway 50, cops will sit on the onramp and radar as you go under Prarie city Rd. Sometimes they radar as you pass or as you are approahing.
