Fresno, California Speed Traps
n/b Palm n/b Palm n/b Palm just north of McKinley
Road block with scales and emission control. Watch out!
Eastbound Shepherd between Maple and Chestnut
Fresno PD traffic cops park on northbound Sierra Vista Avenue, immediately south of Shepherd with their radar guns out. Monday-Friday 10am-7pm.
Save your money! Slow down! Don’t feed the county coffers with your traffic fine money!
Corner of Shaw and 9th street
They sit here all the time on Motors. Sometimes one sometimes two. Reg BMA Bikes and Dirt Bikes. Why do we waist money on Dirt Bikes when they sit on reg streets. they should go check the river bottom with them. They have radar and they get j walkers crossing the street also. But I do have to admit, people drive too fast here.. Speed limit is 40 and everyone goes 50 plus.
Belmont Ave. between Palm and Blackstone
There’s nothing tricky about this one, but it’s a very productive ticketing area for FPD. The speed limit on this stretch of Belmont is 30mph, and motorcycle officers sit at the corners of the small cross streets and in some of the business driveways with their radar guns out. Just be patient and peg your speed to 30mph.
East/West Bound 180 prior to the Highway
CHP sits on the side with radar. Speed limit is not marked but is 55 MPH until you reach the split highway. Will pull over for 65 MPH.
