Fullerton, California Speed Traps
State Highway 57 near Yorba Linda Boulevard
Cover your six between the 91 freeway and Imperial Hwy. CHP frequent this stretch late night and will usually order you off the freeway if caught. It’s very easy to travel 75+ and they will write you for 75! I live near the 57 and can hear them on their loudspeakers several times every night.
Bastanchury Road near Ashwood Circle
Motorcycle waits for you at the bottom of the hill going westbound. Downshift or ride the brakes if you must.
State College Boulevard near Dorothy Lane
City police hide in the shadows of the Cal State Fullerton Alumni House.
State College Boulevard near Dorothy Lane
Shortly before the Dorothy Ln intersection on State College Blvd, a Cal State Fullerton campus police cruiser sits at the driveway to the police station aiming radar at the southbound traffic. Waits to nab the fast moving traffic coming down the steep hill immediately after Bastanchury Rd, and not to mention the speed drops to 40 from 45 immediately after Yorba Linda Blvd and that’s where the officer catches people not slowing down to 40 from 45.
N. Gilbert Street near W. Pioneer Avenue
Motorcycle cop(s) wait on the sidewalk after the old firestation after Pioneer when you are heading North. Hard to see but you need to look right after the last curve when coming up Gilbert since they can see all the way down the street. Hard to see them since they are shaded by a tree.
