State Highway 91 near Euclid Street

Fullerton, CaliforniaJul 28, 20060 Comments

Cop sits on the onramp at Euclid St heading onto 91 eastbound, do not speed through this section of Orange County. I just happened to see him while just glancing around and then realized I forgot to turn up the volume on my radar detector! I looked at it and it was full blast Ka band! Good thing I slowed down immediately because if I had maintained my speed and kept going past him, his radar would have read me at close to 80 mph! Not to mention, he started pulling out as I passed him; and I was scared he would get me, but he caught someone behind me instead!

State College Boulevard near Yorba Linda Boulevard

Fullerton, CaliforniaJun 16, 20060 Comments

Motor cop sits at entrance of a small cul-de-sac just before Yorba Linda Blvd. on the right side of State College Blvd. at the bottom of the hill watching southbound traffic coming down from Bastanchury Rd. Speed limit is 45, but not clearly posted; and it’s hard to go below 55. The cul-de-sac is around a curve, so by the time you see the cop, it’s too late to slow down.

Harbor Boulevard near Fullerton Golf Course Road

Fullerton, CaliforniaJul 10, 20050 Comments

Several co-worker motorcycle cops and myself like to sit in driveways on the east side of the street to catch those in excess of the posted 45 mph limit. Most of those stopped and cited are well above 60 mph. Lidar allows us to get a clear shot on vehicles for several hundred feet at this location.

Lemon Street near Berkeley Avenue

Fullerton, CaliforniaJun 06, 20050 Comments

Motorcycle cop positions himself in Fullerton High’s parking lot on the southbound side of Lemon just past Berkeley and watches traffic in his mirror. Also uses laser. This area is also currently a "construction zone" (double fines).
