Hayward, California Speed Traps
Hayward Blvd.
Hayward Blvd is a 4-lane (2 lanes in each direction) road with a middle lane "invisible median". It is posted at 30mph. The City considers this a "local road"… as such, no survey exists. A road CANNOT be a local road if it has more than 1 lane in each direction and is more than 40 feet wide. A typical lane is 10ft wide, therefore Hayward Blvd is more than 40′ wide. Since it is not a local road, and has no survey, it is an obviously blatant illegal speed trap.
Malibu Road
Malibu Road at Middle Lane is a four lane throughfare with no direct access to residential driveways set at 25mph. Although there is no traffic survey on file the police use radar enforcement in violation of cvc 40802(speed trap.) After pointing this out to an officer who wrote me a ticket here, he wisely decided to "no show" at my trial.
