Huntington Beach, California Speed Traps
Atlanta Street near Delaware Street
The officer sits on the corner of Delaware and Atlanta under some trees so its kinda hard to see him when the sun sets. I have been issued 2 tickets by this guy and both were for 5 to 10 over.
Hamilton Street near Newland Avenue
Motorcycle Officer parks on Hamilton facing Newland where new stop sign is. He’s looking for people rolling through because at times there’s no other cars around and the stop sign is so new people aren’t used to it yet.
Adams Avenue near Brookhurst Road
Crossing flood channel. Huntington Beach is 45 to grade and at bottom of grade Costa Mesa is 50. HBPD Motorcycle Cops sit on the South side and catch you as you pass them at top of grade. Speed limit sign at bottom of grade is visible and many people increase their speed before they see the officers on the side of the road.
State Highway PCH near Warner Avenue
On PCH traveling North after Warner. BIG Speed trap on the Bridge.
Adams Avenue near Santa Ana Riverbed Bridge East of Brookhurst St.
Driving west on Adams Avenue as you cross over the bridge coming into Huntington Beach from Costa Mesa, or, coming the other way, just before you enter Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach motorcycle cops frequently sit on both sides of the bridge in the entrances to the bike trail. Heading into Huntington, the speed drops from 50 to 45 and I’ve received a ticket for going 50.
