From Laguna Beach heading northerly, toward the I-405 on the 133, a Irvine PD motor officer (or two) usually tag team this stretch of hwy just before Quail Hill exit. Watch out! They have a clear shot down I-133 for a good 3/4mi. Speed limit is 65! 70 and you are done. Start looking for them after you pass the Irvine city limit sign, and remember, Irvine welcomes you"! "

Northerly I-133 before I-405 interchange. One or two motor officers usually tag team this area mid morning and afternoons between 2-5:30pm. Start looking for them as soon as you cross into Irvine city boundaries from Laguna Beach. They have Laser and have a clear shot of you coming for over 3/4 of a mile. They have been seen in the center median for two way traffic but mostly camp out next to the concrete wall by the basin. Remember Irvine welcomes you"!"

University Drive

Irvine, CaliforniaMay 25, 20090 Comments

University Drive seems to be under construction indefinitely. Nobody knows what they’re doing, but they have the reasonable speed of 55 mph down to a sluggish 40 mph. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel for the IPD.

Harvard Road/Campus Drive

On Harvard in between University and Michelson a cop sits in the Asian church parking lot right near the entrance next to a sign. He is usually there 2-3 times per week. I’ve seen him get a bunch of poor souls speeding down the street.
