Lemoore, California Speed Traps
Lemoore city cops sit on the west side on ramp of 198 out of sight of west bound traffic with radar! I guess Lemoore has to many cop they have to do traffic control for CHP! and not in the city where they are need not patrolling Freeways and Interstate highways.
Lemoore City motorcycle cop sits @ the top of 198 in the middle of the left turn from 198 to go south on 41 S. a job for the CHP? I know there are a lot of issues he could be taking care of with in the City. The only way u will see him is when your radar detector goes off then you have to look very hard to see him this to me is unsafe for parking, he also facing the wrong way of traffic
On the intersection of Hanford-armona and liberty there is usually a cop parked on the side of the road. They usually target cars traveling toward Highway 41. There is a sign for new homes that hids the cop car pretty well. I personally see them all the time because my kids bus stop is just around the corner and I see them using their radar gun.
The lone motorcycle officer in town will post in the parking lot of the LDS church to catch people on Hanford-Armona Road. The speed limit is posted at 45 mph, but at 17th Avenue, it increases to 50 mph. Most people come off the stop sign at 17th and forget about the reduction in speed, which gets them caught by our one motorcycle cop!
When crossing over the 41 while on Grangeville the speed limit is a 50 zone. The MPH is not posted that I have seen and I know of a few people that have been ticketed there while crossing that intersection. The police will sit in the Shell Station parking lot or the dirt lots shortly after the East and West sections after the intersection.
