Livermore, California Speed Traps
Concannon Blvd
Concannon Blvd. between Holmes and Isabel. This is a wide 4 lane median divided Street … but has been reduced to only 35 mph. Just slow enough to catch most motorist. Speed displays show your speed in both directions. However, I have noticed that about 80% of vehicles go 40-45 mph. Watch out for the motorcycle cop that likes to hide in the bushes “in the median”
North Canyon Parkway
About once a month Livermore PD decides they want to extort money from college students, so they run a 3-motorcycle speed trap where they pull over college students heading to Las Positas Junior College. They have printers connected to their radar systems so they can issue tickets as fast as possible and pull over a maximum number of students. This is definitely a revenue generating move because there are guaranteed to be students hurrying to class and lots of potential victims. Outside of school hours (8am-5pm) M-F, though, there are rarely cops here.

Three bushes in interchange provide cover of Lidar ambushes for motorcycles and crusers
Alden Lane
Usually on a motorcycle cop but sometimes in a SUV at intersection of Capella Road. Often in a.m. but can be throughout the day. Limit is 25 mph but it is a large wide street. Many, many citations at this spot.
Murrieta Blvd. at Chippewa Way
Motorcycle cop likes to sit off on the west side of Chippewa Way and zap northbound traffic on Murrieta Blvd. Sometimes will be on the sidewalk a little further up Murrieta Blvd. on a curve, so you don’t see him until it’s too late. Set your cruise control to 35 and wave as you go by.
