Malibu, California Speed Traps

Both CHP and Sheriffs drive from Ventura county line down to Pepperdine College, toward "going home" traffic. Timing seems to be mostly from 2PM until 9PM. But watch out all night. A Detector will save your tail!
Stay to the right and "bunch up" with others.

PCH heading south, at the base of the hill by Ralphs. A motorcycle cop is constantly there. Traps in Malibu esp. common on weekends.

Patrol cars will sit in turnouts waiting for you to come around the corner. Use a detector! Stretch between Hughes Research Lab and Pepperdine Univ. enforcement is highest. Local ordinance makes it a felony to cross the center yellow line due to speed.

Do not speed past the Cardin School on Las Flores. An officer likes to sit back in a driveway (HIDDEN) to get you. Will get ticketed 27 in a 25.

Officers like to hide between parked cars. They even have BAIT cars sitting on the side of the highway. Just don’t speed in the Malibu area. Period!
