Oceanside, California Speed Traps
Highway 76 East or West Bound between Santa Fe Ave. and Melrose Dr.
There is almost always, specially in the mornings, a cop on a motorcycle in the center divider. He hides behind a no U-turn sign at the corner of Hwy. 76 & Guajome Lakes Rd. Watchout it’s not the only speed trap on the 76.
College Blvd. (Southbound) by Hwy. 76
First week of December, there was one day they were nailing people coming out of the K-Mart parking lot. They were pulling so many people over that they had multiple cars parked on the curb side of College Blvd and were blocking the bus stops. This also blocked that lane of traffic. Not everyone received a ticket, but there were a lot of bewildered people wondering what was going on.

Rancho del Oro Drive near Mesa Drive
Motorcycle cop stays at the bottom of the Rancho del Oro hill at the Mesa Dr. intersection, usually after 2:30 PM on school days for El Camino High School. After this time, the speed limit changes to 25 MPH for it is a school zone, so watch out since you’re going down the steep hill.
