Orange, California Speed Traps
Cannon Street near East Gabrielle Lane
When Imperial Hwy turns into Cannon St south of the 91 at the hill crest, Cannon st begins to to go downhill and officers are waiting usually at Gabrielle Lane (first st on the slope).
Serrano Avenue near Apache Creek Road
Most mornings motorcycle officers are out in force, sometimes two at a time. We hear sirens 2 or 3 days out of the week outside our home. Posted speed limit is 40 but it is a hill and people get going faster than 40 easily. 40 seems a little slow to us Serrano.
every street in the city near City of Orange
All motorcycles are targeted because, "The seargent said motorcycles are dangerous". That cop actually admitted that he was writing me a false ticket for "obstructing traffic" (25 in a 25 zone) in order to remove the licenses from all motorcycle drivers. Isn’t signing the ticket, commiting perjury under color of authority, a felony? ps, I got 3 tickets in 90 days, from 3 different cops who had no speed measuring devices, after 30 years with no tickets or collisions!
State Highway 55 near Edinger Avenue
CHP sits on the on ramp at Edinger Ave, waiting for people to speed. I was stopped twice in this area, same spot. Last ticket I got there he clocked me at 84 in a 65, at 1AM.
Canyon View Street near Downhill toward Chapman
Canyon View has a severe downhill drop from the stop sign at the top of the hill all the way to Chapman. Motorcycle cops sit at the bottom of the hill and clock you coming down. If you don’t ride the brakes gravity will pull your car up to 60mph without touching the gas, posted speed limit is 40mph.
